Hey, posting this because I didn’t find many detailed cleft nose cases when I was researching.
I’ve had asymmetry since childhood (cleft-related). One nostril was lower and the tip looked kind of collapsed on one side. It wasn’t super obvious to people, but in photos it always bothered me.
I looked into a bunch of clinics (Reddit + Korean apps mostly). A lot of them felt very “cosmetic-focused,” like they just wanted to give a higher bridge / sharper nose. I wasn’t looking for that, just wanted it to look more even.
I ended up going with Kobijou and Dr. Sang-Min Hyun.
Consultation Honestly pretty different from other places. He didn’t overpromise. Actually pointed out what won’t be perfect because of my structure, which I appreciated. Felt more like a medical consult than sales.
Surgery day Nothing special tbh. Clinic was clean, not chaotic. Staff were chill. Did photos, markings, basic prep.
I was under anesthesia so I don’t remember anything from the surgery itself.
First week
-
swelling mostly on tip + nostrils
-
felt tight more than painful
-
breathing slightly annoying first few days
No crazy bruising though.
After that Swelling slowly going down. Shape started making more sense around week 2.
Now (still healing)
-
nostrils look way more even
-
tip doesn’t drop to one side anymore
-
overall just looks… normal (in a good way)
It’s not like those super sharp Instagram noses. If anything, it’s pretty subtle unless you knew how it looked before.
Random thoughts
-
I think for cleft cases, going to a “nose-focused” place matters more than a big-name cosmetic clinic
-
If you’re expecting perfection, probably not realistic
-
but for balance/improvement, I think it’s worth it
