How long does it usually take to recover after phacoemulsification cataract surgery? When can patients expect their vision to feel normal again?
Vision usually gets better really fast after phaco cataract surgery, but your eye still needs a few weeks to fully heal. I could see clearly the next day, but it took a few weeks before my eyes felt completely normal and comfortable.
Recovery after phacoemulsification is usually pretty quick most people see clearly within a few days, and vision feels more normal within 1–2 weeks, though full healing can take about a month.
