I’m thinking about getting nostril reduction surgery, but I’m honestly a bit worried about the recovery period. How long does the swelling usually last, and when does the nose start looking more natural. I’m also concerned about visible scarring around the nostrils and whether there’s any risk of uneven healing.
It typically takes a few weeks to fully recover from nostril reduction surgery. Swelling and mild bruising are normal at first, but daily activities can usually resume within 1–2 weeks. From my experience, I felt comfortable going out after about 10 days, though the final shape kept settling for a couple of months.
After nostril reduction, swelling and minor bruising are expected for the first couple of weeks. Light activities can usually be resumed within a week or so. In my case, I felt ready to go back to normal routines after about 10 days, and the nose continued to refine gradually over the next few months.
I was also concerned about leaving scars, but mine healed very gradually. Tightness and swelling made the first five to seven days the most uncomfortable. My nose appeared much more natural by week three, despite some slight swelling that persisted for a little while longer. Smooth healing was greatly aided by proper cleaning and avoiding pressure on the nose.
Nostril reduction recovery is fairly quick compared to other nose surgeries. I had noticeable swelling for about a week, but by the second week I was back to work and feeling confident with the results.
After nostril reduction surgery, most swelling and bruising are noticeable during the first 1–2 weeks. Light daily activities are usually possible after about a week, but full healing can take a few months. I found the first week uncomfortable, but gradually I could do almost everything normally, and my nose shape kept improving over time.
