What was recovery like after LANAP laser gum surgery?

I’m considering LANAP laser gum surgery and would like to know what the recovery process is typically like, including how long it takes to heal, what kind of discomfort or side effects are common, and what the overall post-procedure experience is like.

After my LANAP procedure, the first few days were the most noticeable. There was some swelling and mild discomfort for about 3–5 days, but it was manageable. I stuck to soft foods right away, and after around 10 days I could slowly return to more normal foods. Overall, the recovery felt easier than I expected.

I had slight bleeding on the first day, but it settled quickly. By the second week, my gums felt normal, and the healing was smooth with only mild discomfort.

My recovery experience was relatively quick. Swelling and soreness lasted around 3–4 days, and I was able to eat soft foods almost immediately. Daily activities were not disrupted much. One thing I noticed was temporary sensitivity to hot and spicy foods, which improved within about a week.
