What was recovery like after LANAP laser gum surgery?

For those who’ve undergone LANAP laser gum surgery, what was the recovery process like? How long did it take for pain, swelling, or sensitivity to improve, and how soon were you able to return to normal eating and daily activities? Were there any unexpected challenges or tips that helped during recovery?

Pain and swelling usually improve within 3–5 days, and sensitivity fades over a couple of weeks. I could eat soft foods almost immediately, but crunchy stuff took about 10 days. Honestly, it was way easier than I expected.

I had some minor bleeding the first day, then it settled quickly. By week two, my gums felt totally normal again.

I went through LANAP a while ago. Swelling and soreness lasted maybe 3–4 days, and I could eat soft foods almost immediately. Daily activities weren’t really affected. The only thing I didn’t expect was how sensitive my gums felt to spicy or hot foods, but that passed after a week.

Recovery from LANAP is usually quicker than traditional gum surgery. Pain and swelling improved within a few days for me, and sensitivity settled in about 1–2 weeks. I was back to soft foods the same day and normal eating in about a week.
